Putting this cartoon up, because it made me laugh my head off. Thanks to Gary Larson for his superb sense of humour and the most hilarious drawings I've ever seen.

Watching the markets bouncePosted by Enso in Untagged |

No one now has any doubts about the financial crisis that stroke the whole world starting somewhere on the New Continent. Poland's not been excluded from this turmoil and since about three-four weeks it has been terrifying, to say the least, to watch the stock market prices dive into red for more than three consecutive days. Investing in funds I got a terrible headache myself. Of course I have withdrawn my shares from the stock market and put them into more stable and less-threatening monetary instruments, but that does not mean the crisis did not get to me. Yesterday, WIG 20, the main stock index listing twenty major stock companies in Poland soared high. +7.7 was the largest change since the beginning of the market downfall some year ago. Polish currency sprung up while USD, EUR and CHF plunged down. Not to mention my mortgage in swiss francs has just got much cheaper after reaching almost 200% in the worst days of the recent crisis strike. Strange things are happening in this world.
